the client
Quickhire is a large catering supplies hire company. It has a wide range of stock, carried in huge quantities, including specialist equipment which is not available for hire elsewhere. The company is equipped to service the largest events and venues and also offers expert support and advice to event managers to ensure their catering runs smoothly. However, prior to our involvement none of this was widely understood, largely because the company's website and marketing did not make it clear.
the redesigned website...
what we did - and its impact
We completely redesigned and rebuilt the website, listing and illustrating all Quickhire's stock lines individually with clear pricing, codes and explanations of size, capacity and function of the items, plus easy ordering.
Only a few weeks after the new site went live, we heard from Quickhire that many of their competitors had been making urgent improvements to their own websites, due to the sudden increase in the market's awareness of Quickhire - and increase in the company's own market share. When we became involved, Quickhire's main business was in Liverpool and North Wales but they quickly expanded into Manchester and now support major events across the country and in London.
The new website has just undergone the programmed upgrade to a responsive site.

what the client says
"I am somebody who is not very IT savvy and I found it refreshing to talk with Big Drum because they could explain the web jargon to me in Earth Language!!
"They provided great ideas regarding the layout of our new site and their work to convert the website to a mobile-friendly one will enhance our position again."
Bill Culshaw, Quickhire
